Connect. With authenticity, intelligence, and playfulness when possible. Avoid boilerplate.

Orna joined Marts & Lundy in 2017, bringing more than three decades of non-profit communications and writing expertise. Her specialties include medical, health, and higher and secondary education.

Orna is the principal of Feldman Communications, a consultancy she founded in 1987. She also served, simultaneously, as director, then senior director of development communications at Boston Children’s Hospital (2001-2009) and director of development communications at Tufts University School of Medicine (2010-2012) — the first person selected to hold that position. Previously she was senior marketing and communications manager at Combined Jewish Philanthropies and writer/researcher/reporter at WGBH-TV and -Radio.

Orna’s expertise includes strategic messaging, branding, campaign communications, web and digital content, case statements, annual reports, newsletters and senior leadership communications training.

Orna’s articles have been published in The New Republic, Columbia Journalism Review, Washington Journalism Review, Harvard Magazine, Boston Magazine, and others. Pro-bono, she contributes her communications expertise to Empower Success Corps, a consultancy serving smaller non-profits with strategic planning, governance, fundraising, marketing and communications.

And when she's not working...

Orna is a printmaker, jewelry designer and very new grandmother to the most adorable, and fascinating, child of the 21st-century. Orna also loves to cut the rug with swing, cha-cha, and other dance moves.
