We live in a special time and place. Medical breakthroughs that were unimaginable even a decade ago are now within reach. So, too, is Seattle Children’s promise to provide hope, care and cures for every child in need. Can they deliver? With the help of generous donors, the answer is a resounding yes.
Seattle Children’s is ready to deliver on a bold vision: to transform children’s health. It has the clinical expertise, research capacity and intellectual muscle to deliver. It has the plan, the people, the passion. Now Seattle Children’s seeks to align its resources with its aspirations.
In preparing for its campaign launch in November 2017, Seattle Children’s selected Marts & Lundy to help with campaign communications. We began by interviewing senior leadership, physicians and board members to tease out a case for support worthy of a $1 billion initiative.
Our work came together in a case statement, concise pocket guide, and series of stories that promote four life-changing ideas: delivering on the promise of immunotherapy; unlocking the mysteries of the childhood brain; launching a new era of community health and wellness; and caring for every child in need.

At a time when many hospitals are cutting back, Seattle Children’s is asking donors to help them seize the moment and do more. Seattle Children’s doesn’t believe that today’s volatile healthcare landscape is reason to scale back services at the expense of children who need care now more than ever.
